Position purpose:
This role will manage mining projects from concept and scoping stages to detailed design and construction management projects based in Indonesia, with opportunities to work with internationally colleagues.
Main responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mining-related projects (e.g., tailings, mine waste, mine closure, heap leach).
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage project changes and ensure proper documentation and communication.
- Define and control project scope from concept through to construction.
- Ensure all project requirements are captured and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to address delays.
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective delivery of project outcomes.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Implement quality assurance and control processes.
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including international collaboration.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication among stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to internal and external parties.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Support procurement processes for project-related services and materials.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are addressed throughout the project.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Qualification: (minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in any subject but preferably engineering or science
- PMI PMP, PRINCE2, Diploma, or Masters degree qualification in project management
Experience, skills, and knowledge:
- Minimum 8 years experience in project management
- Consulting engineering background preferred
- Experience in Mining project is an advantage
- Prepare to travel within Indonesia area and overseas (if required)
- Selected candidate will be based in Jakarta
