Job Purpose:
Responsible for engineering design, calculations for pre-qualifications, tenders, and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all engineering designs and calculations to ensure project success
- Verify the suitability of selected vessels for the project requirements for Pre-Qual and Project
- Develop and optimize the stowage / carriage capacity of the vessels for Pre-Qual and Project
- Carry out Transportation Analysis
- Conduct verification calculations with the Master of the vessel on the stability and sea worthiness of the vessel
- Collaborate with Ops and HSQE to ensure the design of cargo will enable efficient and safe workflow
- Prepare Stowage plan, towing arrangements, outfitting drawings etc
- Maintain the registry of drawings
- Perform site inspection when required
- Adhere to the company HSQE policies and practices
Joint Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with Commercial & Ops Dept for the effective execution of Charters / Projects
- Coordinate with Finance Dept for correct and timely invoicing
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture or related marine Engineering
- Working experience in Marine Industry/ Marine Transportation
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to conduct engineering design and verification for vessels and cargo
- Ability to execute detailed drawings using AutoCAD (2D/ 3D) software applications
