About the Role
We are seeking an Equity Research Analyst with strong analytical ability and curiosity about investing to join our investment team in Jakarta. In this role, you will conduct deep fundamental analysis on publicly listed Indonesian equities, contribute to portfolio construction, and work closely with senior investment professionals.

What you'll do:
- Conduct rigorous bottom-up fundamental research on Indonesian listed companies across assigned sectors
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, relative valuation, and scenario analysis
- Prepare investment theses, initiation reports, and periodic company/sector updates
- Attend earnings calls, company visits, and investor relations meetings; synthesize key takeaways
- Monitor macroeconomic developments, regulatory changes, and sector dynamics relevant to the portfolio
- Collaborate with portfolio managers on position sizing, entry/exit decisions, and portfolio construction
- Present investment ideas clearly and concisely in internal investment committee discussions
- Track and evaluate alternative data, flow signals, and quantitative indicators to complement qualitative research
Qualifications
We welcome fresh graduates and candidates with up to 5 years of relevant experience who demonstrate strong analytical ability and interest in investing.
- Background in equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or related roles with exposure to financial analysis and investment research
- Strong financial modeling skills and solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (including consolidated financials and IFRS)
- Ability to form independent, well-reasoned investment views and communicate them effectively
- High attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or IDX data platforms is a plus
Additional considerations:
- CFA candidacy, MBA, or equivalent analytical training is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in Indonesian equities or capital markets is advantageous
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to submit a brief investment thesis (1–2 pages) on an IDX-listed company as part of the evaluation process. Any materials submitted are used solely for candidate assessment purposes and will not be used for commercial decision-making.
