Engineering Specialist

Job responsibilities :

1. Independently handle all inspections mill wide. (Must carry out inspections and not only a witness)
2. Make QC reports and records
3. Identify and prepare repair methods for fit up defects and welding defects. Ensure Zero defects.
4. Check radiography reports, carry out NDT independently, monitoring PWHT
5. Inspect, Audit pipe rack structures before and after repair
6. Inspect mill wide painting/coating of structures, tanks and ensure 100% quality
7. Inspection and repair planning for boiler tube banks, refractory, shell repairs/replacement
8. Prepare Weld procedure specification
9. Attend emergency failures of equipment and suggest repair methods, do RCA
10. Ensure all jobs by contractors meet project standards and quality requirements
11. Do welder testing
12. Ensure fabrication quality

Qualifications :

1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years experience in Related in job.
3. Fluency in English speaking and writing is preferable.
4. Must have valid certifications in NDT, Welding, Painting, Inspections.
5. Must be fast responsive and rigorous on all quality checks to maintain strict quality standards
6. Able to work and inspect for working at height
7. Able to handle several QC inspections during annual/planned/emergency shutdown
