Job Summary
The Distribution Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing the company's product distribution strategy, ensuring efficient and timely product delivery to the market and end customers. This position manages distributors, the distribution network, and the supply chain to support sales targets and market expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Management
Responsible for planning and managing distribution channels, developing and maintaining distributor and partner relationships.
Evaluate distribution network performance and develop improvement measures to ensure coverage and penetration.
Coordinate distributor training to enhance their sales and service capabilities.
Distribution Strategy and Execution
Develop distribution plans based on company strategy to ensure product availability and visibility in target markets.
Track sales data and inventory levels, and adjust distribution strategies promptly.
Coordinate with marketing, sales, logistics, and other departments to ensure distribution efficiency.
Performance and Target Management
Set distributor performance metrics, conduct regular evaluations, and provide incentives.
Analyze distribution channel sales data and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Ensure distribution channels meet sales and profit targets.
Supply Chain and Inventory Control
Monitor warehousing and transportation processes to optimize distribution costs.
Manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstocks.
Work with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Market and Competitive Analysis
Research distribution market trends and competitor channel strategies, and provide improvement recommendations.
Collect customer and channel feedback to assist in optimizing products and services.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in marketing, business administration, logistics, or related fields.
5+ years of experience in distribution management or channel management, preferably in the fast-moving consumer goods, direct selling, or retail industries.
Experience in distribution channel development, dealer management, and supply chain operations.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships.
Experience in team management and the ability to lead teams to achieve goals.
