Position Overview:

We are looking for a Data Platform Management and Support Specialist to join our international team.

Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the advanced knowledge platforms that support our social impact clients. This includes hands-on troubleshooting, performing regular updates, and delivering technical support, as well as collaborating with other team members on developing and enhancing our systems and building and deploying analytics pipelines for new projects.

Text analytics is at the core of our work. Experience with (or strong enthusiasm to learn) text analysis pipelines will be highly valued. Youll have opportunities to support and evolve our systems that extract valuable insights from unstructured data.

The role does not involve building entirely new software systems from scratch; you need to be comfortable with using existing technologies, tools, and frameworks to achieve objectives.

A high level of English is a must.

Relevant educational and professional experience in data analytics, cloud-based systems, and automation processes is required. Specific experience with our tech stack (Python, JavaScript, Ruby) will be a distinct advantage.

This is a full-time, long-term position with a competitive salary in USD or EUR.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the continuous operation and maintenance of cloud-based knowledge platforms.

- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the platforms are secure and up-to-date.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise, providing timely and effective support to users.

- Collaborate with development teams to plan and implement platform enhancements.

- Build and deploy analytics pipelines for new projects, using existing components/tools

- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning as needed.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities and system configurations.

- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor&aposs degree in a technical or quantitative field (such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or related discipline).

- Proven experience in software maintenance, system administration, or a similar technical role.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with Google Cloud services, Python, JavaScript, and text analytics is a strong plus. Experience with Ruby, AWS, and Docker is also desirable.
