About the Company

Adecco Indonesia is representing a leading multinational medical device company that is continuously expanding its business presence in Indonesia. To support its growth ambitions, the company is looking to appoint a Commercial Director to lead its commercial operations and drive sustainable performance across the organization.

Role Summary

The Commercial Director will be responsible for leading the overall commercial strategy and business performance across both capital equipment and consumables portfolios. This role oversees sales, marketing, key account management, and distributor performance, while driving profitable growth, market expansion, and long‑term business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Commercial Leadership:

  • Define and execute overall business strategy across capital equipment and consumable product lines.
  • Hold full P&L ownership, including revenue growth, margin optimization, pricing strategy, and cost control.
  • Balance short‑term commercial performance with long‑term growth initiatives.
  • Translate global and regional strategies into strong and effective local execution.

Sales & Market Growth:

  • Lead national sales strategies for capital equipment (long sales cycle, tender‑driven) and consumables (volume‑driven, recurring revenue).
  • Oversee key account management for strategic hospitals, hospital groups, and major healthcare stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute tender strategies, including pricing competitiveness, positioning, and win‑rate improvement.

People & Organization Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing sales and marketing teams.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline, succession plans, and talent development programs.
  • Establish clear KPIs, performance metrics, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Partner Management:

  • Manage and optimize distributor and partner performance where applicable.
  • Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospital management, and senior decision makers.
  • Act as the key liaison between local operations and regional/global leadership teams.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA is an advantage.
  • 15–20 years of experience within the medical device industry, with exposure to both capital equipment and consumables.
  • Proven track record in senior commercial or business leadership roles (Commercial Director, Head of Business, General Manager, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of hospital ecosystems, tender processes, and complex sales cycles.
  • Solid experience in P&L management, strategic planning, and business transformation.
  • Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working within regional or global matrix organizations is highly preferred.
