What the role is
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) of Singapore. The STB Jakarta office is part of the Board's network of overseas offices within the larger International Group. Key activities of the Jakarta office include marketing and promoting Singapore as a preferred business and leisure destination for Indonesian travellers, in collaboration with travel and media partners.
As Marketing Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with key trade and consumer-facing partners in Indonesia to drive awareness of and demand for Singapore as a travel destination. You will work across a broad portfolio of tourism products and experiences — with particular focus areas in aviation partnerships and fly-cruise visitorship — inspiring Indonesian travellers to visit, stay longer, and spend more in the city.
What you will be working on
Marketing Partnerships
- Work with the Area Director to identify, negotiate, and activate co-marketing partnerships that deliver measurable impact on travel demand across STB's key tourism priorities. You will develop joint marketing campaigns across digital, social, and offline channels, ensuring alignment with STB's brand positioning and campaign priorities.
- Managing and growing aviation partnerships with airlines operating routes between Indonesia and Singapore. This includes working with carrier partners to develop co-marketing campaigns, joint promotions, and travel packages that stimulate air travel demand and convert Indonesian travellers to visit Singapore. You will engage both full-service and low-cost carriers, identifying opportunities to collaborate on route activation, seat sales, and destination marketing initiatives that drive bookings.
- Growing fly-cruise visitorship from Indonesia. This will involve working with cruise lines homeporting in Singapore, airline partners, and travel trade partners to develop and promote fly-cruise packages, encouraging Indonesian travellers to fly into Singapore and combine their cruise experience with a pre- or post-cruise stay in the city. You will position Singapore as both a world-class cruise hub and a compelling destination in its own right.
- Beyond aviation and fly-cruise, you will also drive partnerships across other key tourism segments — including leisure travel, MICE, and lifestyle and entertainment experiences — ensuring a well-rounded approach to growing Indonesian visitorship to Singapore.
- You will work closely with internal teams — including regional marketing, PR, and product teams — to integrate partnership activations into broader destination campaigns. You will track and evaluate the performance of all partnership programmes, providing regular reporting and insights to inform future strategies.
Other Projects
- You will stay attuned to the Indonesian travel market, monitoring consumer trends, airline capacity developments, competitor activity, and the evolving media landscape to surface new partnership opportunities
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned from time to time.
What we are looking for
- The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in marketing, partnerships, or business development, preferably within the travel, aviation, hospitality, media, or consumer lifestyle sectors.
- Experience working with or within the Indonesian market is strongly preferred, and prior exposure to airline co-marketing programmes or the cruise industry will be a distinct advantage.
- You should have a proven track record of managing end-to-end partnerships or co-marketing campaigns across multiple tourism segments, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate and close deals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different organisations and seniority level.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is required. Familiarity with the digital and social media landscape in Indonesia — including platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and local OTAs — will be a strong advantage.
- Eager to take on responsibilities, learn on the job, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Application Status: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 2 weeks from the closing date of this job posting. We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
