Job Description:

  • Maintain proper book keeping and responsibility in day to day accounting process and ensure that accounting posting properly done, comply with local statutory accounting practice and GHO/PCA accounting policies/requirements
  • Ensuring Company's Financial Statement prepared and completed accurately in timely manner referring to monthly reporting schedules
  • Ensure that all accounting listing and reconciliations completed on time referring to MAR deadline (Monthly Accounting Report).
  • Review and monitor regularly direct and indirect accounting staff works and ensure that all accounting staff works completed with required deadline
  • Ensure there is clean audit opinion from external auditor on our financial statements and without any audit adjustments.
  • Provide new ideas/initiatives and or take a lead to improve current process and or rectify the current weakness
  • Proactively involve in any ad-hoc projects as assigned. Working closely with other team and departments to complete the assigned projects.
  • Maintain, update, and set up new accounting policy that in lines with Indonesian and IFRS and sharia accounting standards.
  • Supervise for creating new accounting specs for new product development
  • Maintaining audit review process that performed by external and internal auditor
  • Maintaining up to date accounting & reporting SOPs and ensure the proper SOPs are in place and implemented consistently.
  • Supervise for SUN Ledger administration and establish process and controls relating with SUN ledger administrator, UDAs, finance folder, etc.
  • Leads for Finance transformation initiatives/ projects in accounting & reporting team.

Job Specification:

  • Min. Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • 5-10 years experience in finance and accounting functions in Audit / accounting firm / insurance Company with significant experience in insurance knowledge.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and PSAK (Indonesian Accounting Standards) is mandatory (preferably with knowledge of Sharia accounting standards).
  • Leadership and people management capability
  • Experience of operating in Life Insurance business
  • Experience in Audit / Accounting firm is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills to understand financial statements and reports
  • Effective communicator (oral and written)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
