Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety and Environmental work with line management on strategy development, actions to implement and management over time
  • Leadership of the AP yankee service team according to Valmet Leadership Principles and Values
  • High level of involvement in the creation and execution of the AP Yankee Services business plan working with AP Tissue Services leadership team and the Valmet Local Business units
  • Yankee services sales support, including technical, pricing and customer visits
  • Development of and leading role in..
    • Yankee Services, thermal coating, profile grinding and quality standards / processes
    • Training Valmet technicians to the required standard
    • Thermal spray, grind and associated equipment for yankee service
    • Tissue service generally in support of yankee services business development
  • Ensuring updated, detailed documentation of Yankee Service processes / procedures are in place and followed including but not limited to:
    • Thermal spray and grinding process
    • Raw material specifications
    • Management of raw material stock levels and communication with suppliers
  • Management of yankee service / thermal spray / grind resources people / equipment / consumables - for efficient project implementation
  • Proposing people and equipment investments and development support in creating the associated acquisition documentation
  • Coordination of area to area country to country people and equipment transfers
  • Support in developing and maintaining agreements with key customers/corporations across AP
Requirements

  • High regard for health and safety management
  • Successful leadership and project management track record
  • Ability to build, inspire and lead teams to achieve company and personal goals
  • Technical qualification and relevant experience in yankee service
  • Demonstrable Yankee service technical knowledge
  • Ability to use Valmet tools to manage consumable stock levels, equipment functionality and control costs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with presentation and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of key cultural differences and ability to adapt communication style accordingly. Skilled at working across country boundaries - demonstrated ability to create an environment that respects and encourages cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively on a national and international basis
