Vendor Management Assistant Manager / Manager

As a Vendor Management Assistant Manager / Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with our vendor partners (transporters, unloading crews, equipment providers, etc.) and ensuring cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and manage a comprehensive vendor database (transport, warehouse, support services, etc.).

Analyze vendor performance (on-time delivery, complaints, cost/trip, utilization, etc.).

Lead price and SLA negotiations with vendors.

Draft and maintain vendor contracts and conduct periodic reviews.

Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Legal teams.

Develop vendor monitoring systems (dashboards, scorecards, KPIs).

Support strategic initiatives such as cost/trip optimization, route expansion, and vendor portal digitization.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Management, or related fields.

Minimum 3 years of experience in vendor/supplier management, logistics operations, or procurement.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Results-driven, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.

Experience managing fleet vendors, transport partners, or outsourced logistics providers.

Exposure to vendor system development (e.g., vendor portal, rating system, API integration).
