Value Creation & Portfolio Strategy

Role Overview
A leading venture capital firm is seeking Value Creation & Portfolio Strategy to work closely with portfolio companies and drive strategic initiatives that accelerate growth and operational excellence.
This role will partner with founders and leadership teams to identify key opportunities, improve performance, and support companies through critical growth stages including expansion, fundraising, and exit preparation.
The position requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical capability, and hands-on collaboration with founders and management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Value Creation
- Partner with founders and leadership teams across portfolio companies to support strategic planning and execution
- Identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and market expansion strategies
- Provide guidance on commercial strategy, organizational structure, and business scaling
Portfolio Performance Management
- Monitor performance of portfolio companies through key metrics and operational dashboards
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide insights to internal leadership
- Identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio
Strategic Initiatives
- Support portfolio companies in executing strategic projects such as market entry, product expansion, and operational optimization
- Develop post-investment value creation plans and track execution progress
Investment & Due Diligence Support
- Provide strategic and operational insights during investment evaluation and due diligence processes
- Support the development of value creation strategies for new investments
Fundraising & Exit Preparation
- Work with portfolio companies to prepare for follow-on funding rounds
- Support strategic initiatives related to M&A opportunities or exit readiness
Requirements
- 812+ years of experience in strategy consulting, venture capital, private equity, or corporate strategy
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business strategy skills
- Experience working with growth-stage or technology companies is highly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on with founders and management teams
