Background
The SUSTAIN Program is part of NAMA Foundation's Third-Sector Empowerment initiative, implemented by NICE Global Impact. It strengthens the organizational sustainability of Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) by building their capacity infundraising and donor engagement.
Through structured training, mentoring, and coaching, SUSTAIN supports NPOs to adopt effective fundraising and donor engagement practices, meet funder requirements, and develop the systems needed to sustain their work long-term.
Objective
The SME Trainer will build the fundraising and donor engagement capacity of selected NPO partners by delivering customized training, then providing targeted mentoring and coaching to support practical implementation and completion of required sustainability documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit sustainability, or a related field.
- Proven experience delivering organizational strengthening or fundraising capacity-building programs within the NPO or civil society sector.
- Strong familiarity with NPO fundraising models, donor relationship management practices, and civil society sustainability strategies.
- Excellent facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills, with the ability to translate complex fundraising and donor engagement concepts into clear and practical guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English & Bahasa.
- Demonstrated experience in applying fundraising planning frameworks, donor segmentation strategies, CRM system design, and donor satisfaction methodologies within NPO or similar organizational contexts.
Scope of Work
- Developing customized capacity-building plans for each assigned NPO based on assessment results.
- Designing and adapting fundraising & donor management training materials in line with program objectives and donor requirements.
- Delivering training sessions (online and/or in-person) using practical and interactive approaches.
- Providing mentoring and coaching support to assist NPOs in implementing fundraising & donor management practices and developing required documents.
- Preparing reports and contributing to program monitoring and evaluation processes.
