Job Description
Trader is responsible for merchandising agricultural commodities, including grains (Soybean, etc.) and feedstuffs (Soybean Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, etc.) in order to achieve sales targets and gain significant financial returns. This role involves executing timely buy-and-sell decisions, working on developing ADM distribution business operations, maintaining close customer relationships, and actively communicating market intelligence.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and develop opportunities for business growth and portfolio expansion
- Analyze commodity positions and market conditions to identify trading opportunities
- Apply appropriate trading strategies during various market trends or economic condition
- Conduct negotiations on buying and selling activities
- Provide market insights, recommendations, and guidance to support buying and selling decision
- Monitor supply and demand factors affecting prices, valuations, and trade flows
- Track international market performance and communicate relevant developments to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage customer accounts and market coverage
- Build good business relationships with existing networks and potential trading partners
- Improve efficiency in operations
- Collaborate closely with operations team to ensure smooth physical settlement of commodities
Your Profile
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Business, Agribusiness, or related majors
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in Agricultural Commodities Trading (e.g. Soybean, Corn, Soybean Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, etc.)
- Have experience in International agricultural commodities trading
- Have strong analytical skills and a strong self-initiative
- Have excellence in customer orientation & entrepreneurial mindset
- High attention to detail, strong results orientation, and willing to be hands-on
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills, both written & spoken, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Power BI would be an advantage
