Team Introduction
As part of Daewoong Indonesia's Consumer Healthcare Marketing Team, the Trade Marketer plays a key role in driving market expansion and strengthening distribution across Indonesia's major retail channels. This role will lead channel development initiatives, build strong partnerships with key pharmacy chains and distributors, and execute impactful in-store marketing strategies to accelerate product visibility and sell-out performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including HQ in Korea, Brand, Medical, and Regulatory, you will gain hands-on experience in managing end-to-end commercial execution in a dynamic and fast-growing market. High-performing talents will have the opportunity to grow into channel strategy and commercial leadership roles, supported by structured development programs and regional exposure across Daewoong's global network.
Your Role in this Journey
1) Distribution Channel Expansion & Retail Partnerships
- Drive product listings and strengthen partnerships with major pharmacy chains in Indonesia (e.g., Kimia Farma, Century, Guardian), targeting placement in at least three key chains
- Identify and engage local distributors, negotiate contract structures, and manage product supply processes for key SKUs
- Expand B2C sales channels by identifying and developing new retail outlets in key regions across Indonesia
2) In-Store Marketing & Promotion Activation
- Secure premium shelf placement (golden zone) in pharmacies and drugstores and develop merchandising guidelines to enhance product visibility
- Plan, develop, and manage POSM materials tailored to local retail channel characteristics
- Design and execute channel-specific promotional programs (e.g., price promotions, bundle offers, gift-with-purchase) to drive sell-out performance
3) Sales Data Analysis & Inventory Management
- Analyze channel sales performance data to support demand forecasting and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitor competitors promotional activities and pricing strategies in the local market and develop responsive action plans
Who We're Excited to Meet
1) Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related field
2) Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG industry in Indonesia, Relevant experience may include brand management, product marketing, sales planning, or distribution/channel management
3) Language skills: Established relationships with key retail buyers or distributors across major channels such as pharmacies, drugstores, and online platforms are preferred
4) Market & Distribution Expertise: Strong understanding of the local distribution landscape with proven experience in driving retail listings and channel expansion
Preferred Qualifications
1) Proficiency in Korean is preferred to facilitate effective communication with HQ
2) Experience in brand management and product launches within OTC, dietary supplements, or FMCG categories
3) Hands-on experience with BPOM product registration and regulatory submission processes in Indonesia
4) Experience participating in global brand launches or cross-border collaboration projects (Korean language proficiency is a plus)
5) Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills
Future Career Path
1) Grow as a Local Commercial & Distribution Leader
- Successfully implement HQ's business operating model (export structure, operational processes, and cost framework) in the Indonesian market and further develop it into a scalable and standardized operational system
- Demonstrate solution-oriented leadership by addressing logistics, margin structure, and partnership challenges within Indonesia's complex online and offline distribution environment
2) Expand Your Role as a Channel Strategy & Sales Expert
- Develop into a channel strategy specialist managing diverse channels including chain pharmacies, drugstores, e-commerce, and telemedicine platforms
- Strengthen data-driven capabilities in inventory management and sales forecasting, moving beyond simple retail listings to strategic channel management
3) Develop as a Southeast Asia Market Specialist
- Build deep expertise in Indonesia's distribution ecosystem and contribute to ASEAN expansion strategies across markets such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam
- Develop capabilities in designing go-to-market strategies by understanding differences in distribution structures, consumer behavior, and regulatory environments across countries
