Job Description

ChompChat is a US-based startup building AI-powered ordering and phone systems for restaurants. We're already live with paying customers, and our dev team in Indonesia has been key to our success.

  • 5+ years professional software development experience.
  • 1-3 years leading a team or acting as a tech lead.
  • Strong communication skills (English + Bahasa).
  • Experience with test-driven design/development
  • Comfortable managing remote/distributed teams.
  • Fluency with Python and REST APIs.

As our Technical Manager, you'll sit between the founders and the development team. Your job is to:

  • Turn high-level product goals into clear technical tasks.
  • Give founders visibility into the dev team's progress and obstacles.
  • Coach and mentor developers (mostly recent ITB grads).
  • Keep projects on track with lightweight process and test-driven design
  • Stay hands-on enough to review code and guide architecture when needed.
