Tax Specialist
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including corporate income tax, withholding tax (WHT), VAT, and other applicable taxes.
- Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations and reporting standards.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the organization.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and reconciliations.
- Provide technical tax advice and guidance to internal departments on business transactions and regulatory matters.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and tax authorities when required.
- Support tax audits and manage the resolution of tax-related issues or discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the tax function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in tax compliance, tax reporting, or tax advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of corporate taxation, VAT, WHT, and other relevant tax areas.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- [Preferred] Professional certification in taxation (e.g., CPA, CTA, or local equivalent).
- Available to start immediately.
