We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a consulting team in Jakarta. This role requires strong expertise in Indonesian tax regulations, compliance, and advisory services, with a particular focus on tax audits and dispute resolution.

Description

As a Tax Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of corporate tax returns and related filings.
  • Provide expert tax advisory services, including cross-border tax matters, transfer pricing, and international tax planning.
  • Develop tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions and minimize risks.
  • Represent clients during tax audits, investigations, objections, appeals, and litigation processes.
  • Manage tax disputes and resolution processes, including negotiation with tax authorities.
  • Act as primary liaison for international clients, delivering tailored solutions aligned with local regulations and global best practices.
  • Build strong client relationships and provide proactive updates on regulatory changes.
  • Mentor junior consultants and support professional development within the tax team.
  • Collaborate with other service lines (legal, accounting, BPO) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, advise clients on potential impacts, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives, seminars, and client workshops.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in tax consulting or corporate tax.
  • Tax Brevet A & B certification required; Brevet C (Court License) strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in handling tax audits, disputes, and litigation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
