Job Overview
We are looking for a
Tax Manager to support the tax affairs of Advance Intelligence Group's entities in Indonesia, excluding the Neuroncredit group of companies. Reporting to the
Group Head of Tax based in Singapore, you will be responsible for ensuring local tax compliance, supporting tax audits and enquiries, and providing practical tax guidance to the business.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Indonesian tax knowledge who can work independently, collaborate with regional and local stakeholders, and translate complex tax matters into clear, practical advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and ensure timely and accurate compliance with Indonesian tax laws and reporting requirements, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable local taxes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external tax advisors on tax enquiries, tax audits, and requests from the Indonesian tax authorities.
- Support the business in assessing tax implications of business activities, transactions, and initiatives, providing practical and commercially sound recommendations.
- Monitor changes in Indonesian tax laws and regulations and provide timely interpretation, guidance, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and improvement of tax-related systems, processes, and technologies.
- Identify potential tax risks and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance and mitigate exposure.
- Maintain accurate tax documentation and support tax-related reporting to regional and group stakeholders.
- Work closely with Finance and other business functions on tax matters and provide tax guidance where required.
Requirements
- Around 6 years of relevant tax experience, preferably gained from a Big 4 accounting firm, multinational company, or similar corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, particularly Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax regulations and translate complex tax concepts into clear, practical advice.
- Experience in handling or supporting tax audits, tax enquiries, and interactions with tax authorities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both local and regional teams.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
