Welcome to MotelOur story began during a road trip in the 1990s, where our founders, Will and Andy, travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there, they began designing reworked vintage pieces, and thus, Motel was born.
Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people later, every piece of clothing we make is created with the same spirit of fun, freedom and adventure as the road trip that first defined the brand. We're still ambitious and independent, but now we're a global team - we work from an operational base in Worcester, a design studio in London and a creative studio in Bali.
The RoleOur Tax Administrator has
the critical responsibility of accurately identifying, calculating, and collecting tax in line with all relevant invoices. They will also have the vital role of ensuring that payment and reporting is administered in line with the appropriate schedule, ensuring all submissions meet key deadlines.
Main tasks & responsibilities
- Checking Withholding Tax (WHT) Object from Invoices in accordance with tax law and regulations
- Creating WHT Receipt in Coretax and sending the signed version to the vendors
- Checking VAT-IN invoices from vendors in Coretax applications
- Creating VAT-Out invoice and VAT Export 0% Report in Coretax
- Reconcile the WHT Receipts with the expenses journal in Netsuite
- Reconcile the VAT in with the expenses journal in Netsuite
- Journalise Taxes (WHT and VAT) in NetSuite
- Any additional support in adhoc Tax projects
- Support Motel's sustainability initiatives by considering how our practices can improve, actively working in line with the sustainability journey of the business.
About You
- Minimum of Diploma from Finance or Accounting Major
- Good understanding of Indonesian Taxation Rules
- Basic understanding of Accounting and General Ledger
- Could operate Indonesian Taxation Application (Coretax)
- Basic understanding of ERP System
- Analytical approach with a critical mindset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work in a team environment as well as on your own initiative
