About The Role
DayOne is building the world's first cross-border data centre platform across the SIJORI corridor — and Indonesia is central to it. Based in Jakarta, you'll lead talent acquisition for our Indonesia operations, hiring the critical infrastructure talent needed to build and run facilities that the region's digital economy depends on.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll advise stakeholders, run searches, and build the hiring processes we don't have yet.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across technical, operations, and commercial functions across Indonesia
- Source and engage passive candidates in critical infrastructure — mechanical, electrical, civil, and data centre operations talent
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers — challenge briefs, set expectations, bring market insight
- Coach junior recruiters day-to-day and raise overall team capability
- Build interview frameworks, sourcing playbooks, and ATS processes from the ground up
- Track and report on key hiring metrics; use data to improve decisions
- Represent DayOne at career events and university partnerships across Jakarta and key talent hubs nationally
Must-Haves
- 5–10 years in talent acquisition, at least 3 in a senior or advisory role
- Proven track record hiring for critical infrastructure — data centres, utilities, construction, or similar
- Experience mentoring or developing other recruiters
- Prior hiring experience in Indonesia, with strong knowledge of Jakarta's talent market
- Bahasa Indonesia native speaker with strong business English
- Confident advising senior leaders, not just supporting them
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience hiring across multiple sites or markets simultaneously
- Familiarity with Indonesian manpower law (UU Ketenagakerjaan) and KITAS/work permit processes for expatriate hires
- Background in high-growth or greenfield environments
- HR certification (SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent)
