JD for Ports and Maritime Structural Designer - Draftsperson
Responsibilities
- Carry out drafting works including preparation of layout drawings, steel structural details, concrete structure details, geotechnical profiles, and any other drafting works related to C&S and geotechnical discipline for Ports and Marine Structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment, and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects.
- Assist the Ports and Maritime Engineer in the following:
- Develop structural layout
- Support on the development of construction sequence.
- Review the drawings prepared by another department and/or client's team.
- Develop and maintain SMEC drafting standards
- Liaison and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.
- Assist in proposal / tender document compilation and submission.
Requirements
- Minimum a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful.
- Familiar with Eurocodes is advantageous
- Well versed in drafting software, e.g. AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D. knowledge of Revit and BIM are preferred.
