Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of stewarding staff
  • Ensure proper cleaning, sanitizing, and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dishwashing areas, garbage rooms, and storage areas
  • Enforce hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP / local regulations)
  • Train stewarding staff on proper cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and safety practices
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; raise purchase requests as needed
  • Ensure correct waste segregation and disposal procedures
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance and performance
  • Report equipment damage or maintenance issues to engineering or management
  • Support kitchen operations during peak hours or events
