Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of stewarding staff
Ensure proper cleaning, sanitizing, and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dishwashing areas, garbage rooms, and storage areas
Enforce hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP / local regulations)
Train stewarding staff on proper cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and safety practices
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; raise purchase requests as needed
Ensure correct waste segregation and disposal procedures
Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance and performance
Report equipment damage or maintenance issues to engineering or management
Support kitchen operations during peak hours or events
