Adecco Indonesia is currently representing a leading multinational manufacturing company in the search for a Senior Finance Operations & Controlling Manager.
This strategic role is responsible for leading financial and operational controlling, ensuring accurate reporting, driving cost efficiency, and providing actionable financial insights to support business performance. The position will oversee financial planning, cost management, operational KPIs, and performance monitoring, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Controlling & Reporting
- Lead preparation and submission of monthly management reports, including variance analysis and performance insights for senior leadership.
- Oversee AR/AP processes, fixed asset management, and costing calculations to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Monitor liquidity, working capital, and equity development, identifying financial risks and opportunities proactively.
- Supervise monthly closing activities and ensure accurate reporting across business units.
- Review inventory movements and stock count reports to ensure alignment between operational and financial data.
Operational Controlling & Cost Management
- Oversee cost accounting systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and Indonesian accounting standards.
- Lead preparation and review of Plan Cost Breakdowns (PCBDs) and portfolio analyses to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with Plant Operations and Production teams to establish performance targets such as OEE, quality metrics, and recycling ratios.
- Review and update Location Utilization and Machine Hour Rate (MHR) calculations to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor item price lists and product costing structures, including injection, decoration, and amortization pricing.
- Conduct Volume-Price-Mix (VPM) analysis to provide insights into cost drivers and profitability.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow planning across departments.
- Maintain rolling financial forecasts, conducting monthly Budget vs. Actual analysis and KPI monitoring.
- Support strategic planning discussions with senior leadership and group controlling teams.
- Provide financial insights to support investment decisions, operational planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and develop the Controlling team, including mentoring, performance management, and capability development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) and implement standardized controlling processes across the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Warehouse, Sales, and Production to provide financial insights and operational support.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to financial controlling activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
- 710 years of experience in financial and operational controlling, ideally within manufacturing industry
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a managerial or team lead capacity.
- Experience working within a multinational or group reporting structure is strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, management accounting, and financial performance analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel tools (financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Understanding of Indonesian accounting standards, tax regulations, and transfer pricing principles.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and operational KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, and yield.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving capability.
