The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, installing and managing our client databases. You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain the MySQL database.
- Responsible for developing and implementing database backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and manage database security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 3 4 year work experience as a Database Administrator (middle - senior level).
- Experience in MySQL Database environment (Installation, Design & Configuration, Performance Fine Tuning, Backup, Disaster Recovery Setup, Clustering / RAC, Replication and failover using Dataguard / Golden Gate).
- Good knowledge in Linux RHEL environment / ability to conduct basic configuration / troubleshooting such as customizing file permission, mount point, cronjob, resource monitoring, security hardening etc.
- Familiarity with Backup Software Commvault or Veritas Netbackup.
- Knowledge of shell scripting & automation.
