SQL Database Administrator

Work Location:

Surabaya, Jawa Timur

Job Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server databases.

Monitor and optimize database performance, implement changes, and apply patches.

Optimize SQL queries and database structures for efficiency.

Ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Manage database storage, replication, and high availability configurations.

Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to support business applications.

Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience as an MS SQL Database Administrator.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server (2016/2019 and above), including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

Experience with backup, recovery strategies, and database security best practices.

Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

Familiarity with cloud-based database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.

Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.

Knowledge of NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes is a plus.

Microsoft SQL Server certification (MCSA, MCSE) is an advantage.

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
