Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, on-site role located in Medan, Indonesia. The primary responsibilities include developing and implementing tailored educational plans for students with disabilities, collaborating with colleagues and parents, and providing individual and group instruction based on the unique needs of students. Additional duties involve supporting middle school students, monitoring their progress, and fostering a conducive learning environment to help them reach their full potential. The teacher will also engage in regular communication with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student development.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in Special Education and working with students with disabilities
• Proficiency in teaching practices and techniques, particularly at the middle school level
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Passion for working with diverse learning needs and a patient, empathetic approach
• Relevant educational qualifications; a degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and creating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is an advantage
