About the Job
As a Fullstack Engineer, youll work end-to-end from designing features, building APIs, to deploying services in production for our web application. Youll collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful solutions to gamers at scale.
Our stack includes Lumen (PHP), Node.js, React/Next.js, MySQL, Meilisearch, and Redis, deployed on modern cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and ship new features that delight our users.
- Work across the stack: front-end (React/Next.js) and back-end (Lumen, Node.js).
- Design scalable APIs and microservices.
- Optimize databases (MySQL) and caching strategies (Redis/KeyDB).
- Contribute to infrastructure tasks: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud services (containers, autoscaling, CDN).
- Join the on-call rotation and ensure system reliability.
- Strengthen our engineering culture through reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus, but not required. We prioritize skills, experience, and growth mindset.
- 3+ years of experience as a full stack or backend engineer.
- Strong skills in PHP and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proficient with MySQL and Redis/KeyDB.
- Hands-on with front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar).
- Solid understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).
- Comfortable with Linux fundamentals (logs, debugging, process management).
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and schema migration tools (e.g., gh-ost).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, autoscaling, and serverless.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
