Job Description

This role involves leading Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (EIA/ESIA) studies, conducting baseline surveys, and providing technical expertise for large-scale capital projects. The ideal candidate will have QCI-NABET accreditation and hands-on experience in environmental planning, risk assessment, and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct social impact assessments (SIA), report writing and field work
  • Assist in preparing proposals and reports for various related project
  • Preparation of environmental approval documentation
  • Involved in related business and group discussion
  • Carry work that is EIA related to the Capital Delivery Project team as when needed
  • Undertake field assignment if required
  • Maintaining positive relationship with clients

Requirements:

  • Degree in BSc, BEng in social performance (e.g. stakeholder engagement, livelihood restoration, land acquisition and resettlement, human rights, gender and vulnerability assessments, cultural heritage, social impact assessment, community development, socioeconomic survey and analysis); Master's Degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the environmental/social field
  • Computer Skills Ability to use Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of the application of International Standards (IFC-PS)
  • Ability to keep self-busy and strive for constant improvement and/or development
  • Ability to work under supervision to complete necessary tasks but able to work independently on some tasks from time to time.
  • Constantly seeks out opportunities for achievement and advancement of both project/technical work and personal career
  • Has a can do attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are desired, along with facilitation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Flexibility to undertake a range of complex tasks and to work hours necessary to meet business objectives.
