About the Job
The Site Inspector is responsible to oversee on-site construction activities for a retail project to ensure that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The role involves close coordination with contractors, project owners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction activities carried out by contractors to ensure all works comply with approved specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of work performed to ensure it meets required quality standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Identify defects, deficiencies, or non-conforming work and instruct contractors to carry out corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Monitor site safety practices to ensure contractors comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards.
- Track and monitor project progress to ensure construction activities are aligned with the approved project schedule and milestones.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including inspection reports, daily site reports, photographs, and other relevant records.
- Communicate effectively with the project team, contractors, project owners, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project status, issues, and requirements.
- Identify potential risks that may affect project quality, safety, schedule, or cost, and coordinate with contractors to implement preventive or corrective measures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of proven experience as a Site Inspector, preferably in retail projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and on-site safety management.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Good documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work on-site and adapt to project demands.
- Willing to undergo a 1 year contract.
