Location: Indonesia (remote-first)

We are a small, senior, globally oriented team that values strong thinking, thoughtful execution, and long-term impact over trends, hype, or volume. Our work is strategic, collaborative, and deeply international in nature.

Role overview

We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager (57+ years experience) to lead end-to-end social media execution for international impact organizations and purpose-driven businesses.

This role combines editorial judgment, excellent English copywriting, strategic thinking, and operational rigor across multiple channels. You will both define channel strategies and execute against them, depending on the client and project setup.

You will work closely with our Content Lead and Creative Director, and coordinate with designers, editors, and project managers to deliver high-quality, globally relevant social media presence for our clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage social media calendars across a minimum of four channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok/Shorts) for multiple international clients
  • Define channel-specific strategies and execution plans, or execute against existing strategies where already defined
  • Write high-quality English copy tailored to each platform, client tone of voice, and audience
  • Repurpose core content into channel-specific narratives, hooks, and formats
  • Translate client business goals into clear social media strategies and measurable execution plans
  • Coordinate designers and editors through structured briefs, timelines, and feedback loops
  • Ensure consistent quality, tone, accuracy, and relevance across all published content
  • Track performance, analyze results, and provide clear reporting and insights tied to KPIs
  • Present social media strategies, content rationales, and performance insights directly to clients
  • Handle client feedback professionally and defend content and strategy decisions where appropriate

Tooling & ways of working

You are comfortable working with professional social and collaboration tools, including:

  • Social scheduling and publishing tools
  • Analytics and performance reporting tools
  • Collaborative documentation and workflow tools (e.g. Notion, Slack, shared calendars)

This is a remote-first role, working primarily asynchronously within team online hours, with:

  • Regular internal coordination
  • Regular client meetings

Non-negotiables

  • 57+ years of professional experience in social media management for brands or organizations
  • Outstanding English copywriting skills with a strong, relevant portfolio
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel social media calendars across multiple clients
  • Demonstrated ability to repurpose content strategically across platforms
  • Experience working with international NGOs, foundations, or Series A+ impact-driven startups
  • Experience coordinating creative teams (designers, editors, freelancers)
  • Based in Indonesia with significant international work experience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Nice to have

  • Experience working closely with social strategy consultants or creative directors
  • Familiarity with global impact narratives (climate, health, equality, education, etc.)
  • Experience presenting work and performance insights to international clients

This role is not

  • A junior scheduling or posting role
  • A content creator or influencer position
  • A performance marketing or paid media role

What success looks like (612 months)

  • Independently running social media calendars and monthly content planning for multiple clients
  • Effectively coordinating internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and consistent quality
  • Demonstrating measurable improvement in performance KPIs across key channels
  • Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication and strong execution
  • Contributing to internal efficiency by improving workflows, briefs, and content processes
