Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Kota Tangerang Selatan for a Senior Product Specialist (Instrument). The Senior Product Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting the sales of our precision measuring instruments. You will not only drive sales but also lead the strategic direction of our instrument product portfolio, act as the primary liaison with principals, and provide high-level technical and commercial support to customers and the internal sales team. The duties include building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, delivering advanced technical support, leading product demonstrations and specialized training sessions, and working closely with sales, marketing, and principals to develop and execute strategies that expand market presence and maximize product performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Lead business development for instrument products, ensuring consistent achievement of ambitious sales targets.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry leaders.
- Identify and capitalize on high-value opportunities across pharmaceutical, chemical, F&B, and manufacturing industries.
- Oversee tender processes, proposals, and high-level negotiations with major accounts.
- Represent the company in industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
Product & Technical Leadership
- Serve as the subject-matter expert and key decision-maker for assigned instrument products.
- Provide advanced technical consultation and solutions to clients with complex needs.
- Deliver specialized product training, mentoring, and technical guidance for internal sales teams.
- Collaborate with international principals to develop long-term market strategies and ensure product competitiveness.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitor benchmarking to shape product positioning and pricing strategies.
- Report to management on product performance, sales pipeline, and market development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in instrument systems, technical sales, and distributor environment.
- Proven track record of consistent sales achievement and business growth.
- Deep technical knowledge of instrument systems (monitoring, measuring, safety, or related).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Prior experience working directly with international principals/brands is essential.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Self-driven, analytical, and able to lead cross-functional collaboration effectively.
