Job Title: Senior Government Relations Officer

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Government Relations Officer is accountable for establishing, managing, and strengthening working relationships with government bodies at central, provincial, and district levels to support seamless project execution. This role is instrumental in driving government engagement strategies, ensuring compliance with corporate communication requirements, and promoting project continuity and acceptance among local authorities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and district/provincial government authorities.
- Facilitate and support the processing of permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements at the regional level.
- Communicate project-related updates to government stakeholders in a clear, structured, and protocol-compliant manner.
- Assist in identifying, managing, and resolving issues or risks related to government engagement.
- Uphold and promote the company's reputation as a compliant, collaborative, and responsive organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in government relations, external affairs, or a similar function, preferably within oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated experience working with local government authorities and managing regulatory processes.
- Experience organizing official engagements such as site visits, meetings, and protocol events.
- Proven ability to manage government-related issues impacting project operations.
- Experience in preparing reports, policy analysis, or institutional documentation.
