Job Description
GTMLab is a growth consultancy. We help businesses across Southeast Asia solve their hardest growth problems and turn the answers into measurable results.
Since 2024, we've grown from a small founding team to 100+ people and worked with 500+ clients, from local SMEs to regional enterprises. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing fast, which means we answer to our clients and our standards, not to investors.
Growing that fast only works if the numbers underneath it are right. That's where you come in.
About the role
This is an ownership role, not a data-entry one. You'll work directly with our F.A.T. Manager on the day-to-day finance, accounting and tax work that keeps the company running: closing the books every month, keeping us fully tax-compliant, and making sure money comes in and goes out on time.
At first, you'll focus on learning how we work: our entities, our close cycle, our tax calendar and our tools. As you get comfortable, you'll take on more of it yourself, with your manager guiding you along the way.
We're also looking for someone with a builder mindset. We're always improving how we work, and our finance workflows are no exception. If you see a manual step, a messy spreadsheet or a process that breaks every month, we want you to say so and help your manager fix it, whether through better templates, automation or AI tools. You won't just run the system; you'll help build it.
What you'll do
Accounting & reporting
- Run the monthly close in Xero: journals, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) accurately and on time
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across our entities
- Keep financial records accurate.
Tax
- Calculate, pay and report all company taxes on time: PPh 21, 23, 4(2), 25/29, and PPN
- Issue and check tax invoices and withholding slips in Coretax
- Prepare monthly and annual tax returns (SPT Masa and SPT Tahunan Badan) with complete working papers
- Work with HR on payroll tax (PPh 21) and BPJS, and with our tax consultant on reviews and audits
Finance operations
- Oversee accounts receivable: timely invoicing, collection follow-up and aging reports
- Oversee accounts payable: make sure vendors are paid on time and payroll funding is ready each month
- Support budgets, forecasts and cash flow planning
- Prepare documents and explanations for internal and external audits
- Review and guide the work of FAT interns across accounting, tax and finance operations
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting and tax, with hands-on month-end close and tax filing
- Strong knowledge of PSAK and Indonesian tax (PPh, PPN), including PPh 21 under the TER scheme
- Hands-on experience with Coretax
- Proficient in Xero (or similar cloud accounting software) and strong in Excel or Google Sheets
- Careful with details and able to explain numbers clearly to non-finance people
- Ready to put in extra hours at busy times, such as month-end close and tax deadlines
- Self-driven: you take initiative and finish what you start without being chased
- Curious and quick to learn new tools, rules and AI
- Positive and steady under pressure
- Able to work fully on-site at our office in Park Tower, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat
Bonus points if you
- Have handled accounting or tax for multiple entities, intercompany transactions or group consolidation
- Hold Brevet A/B
- Have worked at an accounting firm, tax consultant or holding group
- Have guided junior staff or interns
- Have built or improved finance workflows using automation or AI tools
