Senior Fashion Designer

Job Description (Responsibilities):

As a Senior Fashion Designer you will lead the design and development of stylish yet accessible collections that balance quality, affordability, and brand identity. You will work closely with a small, agile team to create well-crafted pieces that resonate with the modern consumer while ensuring efficient production on a smaller scale.

1. Design & Creative Direction

• Research market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive brands
• Develop collection concepts , seasonal mood boards, color palettes, and fabric selections that align with brand identity
• Create sketches, digital illustrations, and technical flats for collections.
• Design products that offer a balance of trendiness, wearability, and affordability.

2. Fabric & Material Sourcing

• Select cost-effective yet high-quality fabrics and trims that enhance the collection.
• Work with local suppliers and artisans to ensure unique and high-value product offerings.
• Ensure materials are practical for the scale production while maintaining premium quality.

3. Product Development & Sampling

• Collaborate with pattern makers and sample developers to achieve the perfect fit and silhouette.
• Conduct fittings and revisions to refine designs before production.
• Ensure cost-effective production while maintaining a luxury look and feel.

4. Production & Supply Chain Coordination

• Work closely with manufacturers to oversee production timelines.
• Manage limited production runs to maintain exclusivity while ensuring profitability.
• Oversee quality control to maintain premium standards.

5. Brand & Market Strategy

• Develop collections that align with the brands positioning in the premium mass market.
• Adapt designs based on customer feedback and sales performance.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to create compelling campaigns

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

Minimum 2+ years of experience in womens ready-to-wear, preferably in mass-market brands.

Experience working with small to medium scale production teams is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW for digital designs.

Knowledge of garment construction, grading, draping, and pattern-making,

Experience with cost-efficient production methods for similar scale manufacturing.

Soft Skills:

Creativity with a commercial mindsetbalancing fashion-forward design with affordability.

Strong organizational skills to manage small production batches efficiently.

Excellent communication and collaboration with a small, hands-on team.

Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced, small-scale business environment.
