Job Description
As a Senior Data Analyst in the Accommodation team, you will leverage data to drive insights, support decision-making, and deliver actionable recommendations that shape commercial strategy and on-the-ground performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the effectiveness of Traveloka's commercial programs, identifying opportunities to optimize program deployment and improve supply quality across availability, price competitiveness, and revenue margin.
- Proactively surface data-driven recommendations on which hotels, markets, or segments should be onboarded or realigned to existing commercial programs, based on performance signals and competitive positioning.
- Support Market Managers (MMs) by investigating KPI dashboard metrics, diagnosing root causes behind performance gaps, and providing rigorous data evidence to explain why a metric is at its current level and what actions can be taken to improve it.
- Design and execute data experiments or A/B tests to validate commercial hypotheses and quantify incremental program impact.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to monitor key business metrics, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for commercial and operational reporting.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses – including funnel conversion, cohort analysis, long-term trend analysis, and hotel or market segmentation to uncover patterns and opportunities not visible in standard reporting.
- Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical methods to enable data-driven decision-making, and develop advanced analytics models to address complex business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in a data analyst, data scientist, or similar data role.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, spreadsheet tools, and Python.
- 5+ years of experience building dashboards using BI or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio, or Domo.
- Strong analytical instinct – comfortable working with open-ended, ambiguous business questions and translating them into structured analyses.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in statistical experimentation or A/B testing is required.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize competing demands effectively.
- Experience working on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
