We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Compliance for Indonesia Team to communicate and implement of compliance, sustainability and raw material traceability programs in the Country/Region to ensure effective compliance to minimize disruption to the business.
Job Responsibilities:-
- Highlight problems and escalate to Head of Compliance & Sustainability Team and Country Manager for solution to minimize compliance, sustainability or raw material traceability risk to the company.
- Develop effective communications up-streams with Country Manager and merchandising teams for different customers.
- Factory visits for monitoring of social compliance, supply chain security and brand protection status, and incident management and reporting.
- Assist mill vendors to understand the supply chain mapping and raw material traceability and develop system to maintain records to meet the requirements from law regulations and customer expectations.
- Engage with Better Work Indonesia, local NGOs, trade associations, 3rd party compliance organizations and traceability service providers for industry updates and initiatives.
- Conduct analysis on vendor performance in a timely and accurate manner; provide training to vendors (Vendor Compliance Officers) for MGF and customers compliance requirements, and follow up on the Corrective Action Plans.
- Perform all operation related duties corresponding to each compliance area on need basis.
Job Specifications:-
- Degree in related field or equivalent
- At least 5 years relevant experience in a sizeable organization, preferably in garment buying office/garment industry
- Good knowledge of garment factory operations with basic knowledge on fabric or yarn production; basic understanding of sustainable fiber is preferred
- Ability to operate in a multicultural environment; ability to build strong internal & external relationships
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Strong analytical skills and proven judgment
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Experience with crisis avoidance and management and conflict resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Frequent travel is required
- Less experience will be considered as Specialist, Compliance
