Based in Surabaya, Indonesia, the (Senior) Business Development Manager will be working as part of the team at Enterprise Singapore&aposs Surabaya and Jakarta Overseas Centre. You will engage key Indonesian corporate stakeholders and Singaporean businesses from various sectors. The goal is to assist Singapore-based companies expand their businesses through facilitating their growth plans and forging strong relationships with stakeholders in Indonesia.
The role and responsibilities include:
- Facilitate Singapore-based businesses in their growth plans and business needs in Indonesia
- Establish good understanding of business/industry trends in Indonesia and identify opportunities for Singapore businesses
- Monitor the business environment (such as regulations) to provide market intelligence and strategies that will help shape project facilitation
- Build and cultivate strategic contacts with key stakeholders in Indonesia
- Track and report progress of various project facilitation
Desired Skills and Experience
- Recognised good degree in business, marketing or related field
- Market knowledge and proven track record in business development roles, minimally 2 years of experience
- Proactive individual who derives motivation and energy from meeting new people, understanding new business models and providing actionable solutions
- Ability to work independently and actively monitor the business environment (such as regulations) and provide market intelligence
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to collaborate with global teams
- Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia is a pre-requisite
