About Team
The Enterprise Efficiency team is dedicated to transforming workplace productivity through seamless integration of enterprise communication, open platform capabilities, and management systems covering HR, finance, and operational tools. Our products power the daily workflows of thousands of employees across Sea group companies.
Our product lines include SeaTalk (enterprise communication and collaboration platform) and PFMS (people and financial management system). We are currently driving enterprise initiatives where we actively leverage AI-powered tools and LLM integrations to enhance product capabilities and accelerate engineering workflows.
Job Description:
- Design and implement reliable, performant, and scalable backend systems.
- Write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code using engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams across the full development lifecycle.
- Lead technical design discussions and produce thorough technical design documents.
- Conduct constructive code reviews that improve team-wide code quality.
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into backend services where applicable, including prompt engineering, API integration, and output handling.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and reliability issues – then drive solutions.
- Communicate technical constraints and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend development experience (Java, Go, or Python preferred)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design
- Proven ability to produce well-structured, maintainable, and testable code with minimal defects
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching layers (Redis)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment best practices
- Able to perform thorough, constructive code reviews that improve team code quality
- Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation workflows
- General AI literacy – understands core AI/LLM concepts and can evaluate where AI capabilities can be practically applied to improve product features or engineering processes
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architecture
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into backend services (e.g., prompt engineering, API integration, output parsing)
Nice-to-Have Technical Skills
- Experience building enterprise B2B or internal tooling products (e.g., ERP, communication platforms)
- Performance tuning and optimization experience at scale
