What you'll do:

As the Southeast Asia Indirect Procurement Manager - CAPEX and Equipment, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around shaping how equipment is sourced, installed, and scaled across diverse markets. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, safety, quality assurance, operations, and finance to deliver strategic procurement solutions that support business growth.   • Define and execute innovative sourcing strategies that deliver competitive advantage beyond cost savings by leveraging market insights and supplier relationships.
  • Build capability within the procurement team by fostering collaborative behaviours, supporting professional development, and encouraging knowledge sharing.
  • Drive technical sourcing for equipment acquisition, automation projects, CAPEX infrastructure upgrades, and manufacturing improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct comprehensive loss/cost analysis and design value engineering actions that optimise resources while maintaining quality standards.
  • Lead RFIs/RFQs processes as well as should-cost modelling for equipment purchases and capital projects to ensure transparency and best value outcomes.
  • Develop strategic supplier partnerships focused on innovation, uptime reliability, and continuous improvement in manufacturing performance.
  • Enable supply continuity by designing contingency scenarios and resilience plans that safeguard against disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Monitor market economics closely to provide accurate forecasting during budgeting cycles while driving cost optimisation through network redesigns, digital visibility tools, logistics enhancements, and preventive contracting.

  • Proven track record of executing complex projects involving automation systems, factory upgrades or large-scale capital investments with measurable results.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen paired with advanced analytical capabilities enabling effective negotiation strategies and supplier relationship management.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; proficiency in other Southeast Asian languages would be highly advantageous for regional collaboration.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with internal teams as well as external suppliers by demonstrating empathy, honesty and dependability.
  • Experience developing people through supportive leadership approaches that encourage growth mindset within teams.
