Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on development experience to design, develop, and support SAP solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in ABAP and experience working closely with functional teams to deliver high-quality SAP implementations and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
- Develop and support ABAP Objects, ALV reports, BDCs, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
- Work on Enhancements such as User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Framework.
- Develop and support Interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
- Perform performance tuning and code optimization.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide support for SAP incidents, changes, and system upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and documentation.
- Participate in system testing, UAT support, and deployment activities.
- Mentor junior ABAP developers when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Proficiency in ABAP Objects (OO ABAP).
- Experience with Reports, ALV, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts.
- Strong experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and data migration techniques.
- Knowledge of Enhancement techniques (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancements).
- Experience working with at least one SAP module such as FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, or HR.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SAP ECC; S/4HANA exposure is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with S/4HANA ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP.
- Exposure to Workflow, OData, or Fiori development.
- Experience in support and/or implementation projects.
- Knowledge of Agile or SAP Activate methodology.
