As a Salesforce Developer at KPMG, you will be the engine behind our most complex technical implementations. You won't just be sitting behind a screen; you will be a technical consultant, translating intricate business requirements into scalable, clicks-not-code first solutions, supported by robust programmatic development when necessary.
You will work across diverse industries, helping our clients optimize their Salesforce environments through custom Apex development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and sophisticated third-party integrations.
What you will do:
- Custom Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex Apex classes, triggers, and asynchronous processes.
- Modern UI: Build high-performance, responsive interfaces using Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Integration: Design and implement REST/SOAP APIs to connect Salesforce with ERPs, marketing automation tools, and proprietary databases.
- Declarative Excellence: Lead with a Configuration First mindset, utilizing Advanced Flow to reduce technical debt.
- Technical Discovery: Participate in client workshops to uncover technical requirements and provide effort estimations (Level of Effort).
- Mentorship: Provide code reviews and guidance to junior developers to ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and Well-Architected principles.
Desired skills & experience:
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, and LWC).
- Core Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits, Order of Execution, and Security sharing models.
- Tooling: Proficiency with Salesforce DX, VS Code, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD deployment pipelines (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or Azure DevOps).
- Data Management: Strong SQL/SOQL skills and experience with data migration tools like Data Loader or DemandTools.
- Required Certification: Platform Developer I (PDI).
- Preferred Certifications: Platform Developer II (PDII) or JavaScript Developer I.
- Solution Mindset: You don't just find bugs; you find better ways to solve business problems.
- Communication: The ability to explain technical debt or API limitations to a non-technical stakeholder without using jargon.
- Agility: Comfort moving between multiple client orgs and adapting to different project management styles (Agile/Scrum).
