The Sales & Marketing General Manager role is a senior leadership position responsible for developing short-term and long-term plans and establishing an effective strategy across the company's sales divisions. The position combines commercial leadership with technical understanding to guide product direction, market positioning, sales performance, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop short-term and long-term plans for the company's sales divisions
- Design and execute company-wide sales and marketing strategies
- Integrate management input to establish the strategic direction of products in relation to profitability, sales performance, and market positioning
- Manage, implement, and control the execution of programmes and strategies defined in the marketing plans
- Work closely with sales teams to maintain effective communication and support the successful execution of marketing plans
- Maintain high standards of product quality while achieving sales and profitability objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field; a Master's degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, or Marketing will be an advantage
- Strong skills in business development, strategy, analysis, and business planning
- Proficiency in English
- At least 20 years of experience in industrial sales, including at least 10 years in a senior management position
- Strong experience in the industrial market
- Experience in change management and turning around underperforming businesses
- Senior management experience in the general sales management of industrial products or an equivalent area
- Strong commercial capabilities combined with a solid technical background
