Background
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children's rights and equality for girls. In Indonesia, Plan International operates since 1969, and in 2017 Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) was established as a national entity of Plan International in Indonesia. Plan Indonesia is currently implementing its Country Strategy 5 (CS 5) covering the fiscal year 2023 to 2027, where the country's purpose is in line with the global Plan International's Purpose to advance children's rights and equality for girls. Our ambition is to enable at least 3 million girls and young women to learn (gain skills for work), lead (empower to take action on issues that matter to them), decide (have control over their own lives and bodies), and thrive (grow healthy and protected from violence). It means that we will take actions to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children, especially girls, and young women from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society. This goal will be achieved by having a sustainability organisation through the organisation's vision & strategy, implementing quality & lasting impact programs and projects, having a strong governance organisation, as well as influencing decision-makers and key stakeholders to make the required changes.
The Opportunity
The Resource Mobilization & External Relations Director is responsible for leading the strategy and execution to ensure the organisation's financial sustainability, brand enhancement, risk mitigation, and the positioning of Plan Indonesia to external stakeholders. The post holder also supports the growth of PT Kanaga Impact Indonesia as Plan Indonesia's social enterprise.
As part of the Country Leadership Team (CLT), the post holder plays a role to support the Executive Director in ensuring good governance of the organisation, including overseeing some management objectives, building reports to the board of committee and external parties, developing organisational positioning statement, and providing strategic advice in any organisation policy, procedure, and decisions.
Key Responsibility
1. Lead the development and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy to set and achieve the Plan Indonesia's fundraising targets and contribute to organizational financial sustainability
2. Provide strategic direction for Brand awareness and positioning
3. Direct the overall management, capacity building, and well-being of the fundraising team
4. Participate in the Country Leadership Team (CLT) to provide effective leadership and decision making
5. Safeguarding Children and Program Participant, GEDSI, and PSHEA

Location: Based at CO office Jakarta with at least 10% travel to implementing countries. It is important to note that YPII currently applies a mix of Working from Home and Working from Office arrangements.
