Research Development Lead

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Research and Development, especially in the Food and Beverage manufacturing industry.
• At least 1 year of experience leading a team.
• Experience in budget management and determining product cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Experience in lab-scale product development and collaboration with manufacturing partners.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Willing to be based in Surabaya.
• Proven track record in successful product development and commercialization.
• In-depth knowledge of formulation science, ingredient functionality, and product testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the domestic food sector.
• Experience in export product development is an advantage.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D programs from new product proposals to commercialization.
• Drive accountability, consistency, quality, and process standards throughout all R&D phases.
• Develop and monitor research plans and budgets aligned with company objectives to ensure timely and on-budget project completion.
• Develop and implement strategic R&D plans aligned with business goals.
• Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and consumer trends.
• Ensure all products comply with relevant local regulations and standards.
• Keep updated with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare and review technical documents for regulatory submissions.
• Implement and supervise quality control processes to ensure product safety and efficacy.
• Lead research initiatives to explore innovative ingredients, formulations, and technologies.
• Maintain effective communication, relationships, and necessary resources for R&D activities.
