Job Description

Beep is looking for a full-time Project Manager to join the Release & Product team remotely. You will be responsible for managing the release schedule for our given set of releases for both physical and digital products, and work closely with our production team, outside developers and publishing partners, as well as first-party platforms such as Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Steam and others, incl. all aspects of game publishing and production, from early conversations to deploying the games to our players.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the project release planning as well as submission to the first-party platforms for all titles assigned to you. Together with our production team, you will set the long term release plans and make sure that the development and submission progress of the product sticks to the release schedule. You will also coordinate and deploy the Store marketing assets for all digital releases together with our marketing team, and be responsible for acquiring necessary age ratings.

The role requires you to have a knack for anticipating and communicating potential bottlenecks in our release approach and finding solutions with the developers to achieve a smooth release for each title.

To achieve a successful release of a product, you will need to be able to mix strategic project plans with hands-on implementations, as well as seeking out other opportunities that can improve our release management process.

What You'll Do

  • Primary point of contact for developers to plan all product releases
  • Maintain a comprehensive release calendar to aid in cross-team and cross-org release communication
  • Manage all game submissions with first party platforms
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of all products within First Party portals, from initial concept setup through all game submissions to final release and post-launch support
  • Acquire all necessary age ratings (CERO, GRAC, ESRB, PEGI etc.)
  • Actively plan multiple scenarios to ensure that the publishing and marketing team is aware of all of the potential release scenarios
  • Own the submission process, including: Code delivery, required documentation, taking point on communication and waiver requests with first-party platforms
  • Review assets and metadata used for digital storefronts and retail packaging to ensure that it meets internal and external requirements
  • Work with the internal QA team to review quality of the title throughout development, assess submission readiness
  • Perform regular meetings with internal publishing team (marketing, licensing, sales) in order to assess their requirements and deadlines, with a view on how these relate to development and a possible product release

What You Bring

  • Native English speaker
  • Additional Japanese language proficiency is advantage
  • Experience with release management, first party storefront management and submission, game production or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Expertise and understanding of project management
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and other tools)
  • The ability to remotely co-ordinate multiple teams and projects in different time zones
  • Methodical approach to work and eager to learn
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to listen carefully and respond appropriately at all levels.
  • A solid understanding of the video game industry personally or professionally
  • Strong time management and planning skills
