Refrigeration Mechanic

Installation: Install new refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and related components. Ensure systems are properly assembled and connected.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably. This includes cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical connections.Repair: Diagnose and repair refrigeration system malfunctions. Replace faulty components, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans.

• Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues within refrigeration systems. Interpret pressure gauges, thermometers, and other instruments to determine system performance.

System Upgrades: Recommend and implement system upgrades to improve energy efficiency and performance. This may include retrofitting systems with new technology or components.

Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulations. This includes handling refrigerants safely and in compliance with environmental guidelines.Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain the nature of the work being performed, provide cost estimates, and offer advice on system maintenance and care.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and inventory of parts and materials used.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: 3+ years experience at the same position in the hospitality industry (nightclub/beach club).

• Skills and Abilities:

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and writing reports.

• Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.

• Work Environment:

The job may involve working in adverse conditions, such as extreme temperatures, tight spaces, and heights.

• Availability for on-call work and emergency repairs may be required.
