Job Description

Were looking for a Quality Lead to ensure the highest standards of quality and food safety across our business. In this role, youll oversee both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functionsvalidating reports, leading audits, driving corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Youll also coach and mentor team members, turning insights into process improvements and building a culture of quality excellence across the organization.

What Youll Do

  • Verify QA and QC reports to ensure accuracy, validity, and completeness before submission to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead audits and evaluations end-to-end, from planning and coordination to implementation and final reporting.
  • Ensure QC inspection processes and complaint investigations are carried out properly and in compliance with established protocols.
  • Validate SOPs prepared by officers, ensuring they are complete, practical, and compliant with standards.
  • Drive the implementation, monitoring, and validation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze and extract data for reporting, integrating results into internal trackers for efficient monitoring.
  • Propose and lead improvement initiatives or projects based on insights from data and evaluations.
  • Ensure food safety standards are applied in product development, raw materials, packaging, and processes.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage QA projects (audits, training, process improvements), including contingency planning for risks.
  • Monitor team performance, provide corrective guidance, and ensure timely execution of quality initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach QA/QC officers, supporting their development through feedback, examples, and practice opportunities.
  • Communicate and delegate information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
  • Proven experience managing audits, investigations, and compliance-related processes.
  • Skilled in implementing and validating corrective and preventive actions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, process, and interpret data effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools for automation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including prioritization, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities with a focus on team development.
