Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality of our software products through comprehensive manual testing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, excellent analytical skills, and experience in various testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & StrategyDevelop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Identify test scenarios and edge cases
- Manual Testing ExecutionExecute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- Conduct usability and accessibility testing
- Test mobile applications on various devices
- Bug ManagementIdentify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Reproduce and verify bug fixes
- Prioritize bugs based on severity and impact
- Documentation & ReportingCreate detailed test documentation and reports
- Maintain test case repositories
- Provide regular testing status updates to stakeholders
- CollaborationWork closely with developers, product managers, and designers
- Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Provide feedback on requirements and user stories
Required QualificationsTechnical Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in manual software testing
- Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC)
- Experience with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT)
- Proficiency in test case design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, etc.)
- Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)
- Understanding of API testing concepts
- Experience with browser developer tools

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
- Experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android)
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies
