About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and compliance through systematic problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position will work closely with production, engineering, and supplier teams to drive product excellence in areas such as Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing quality or process engineering.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge in quality tools and methodologies:
  • 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa), 8D Report, DMAIC, FMEA, and PDCA.
  • Familiar with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards.
  • Experience in analyzing defects and managing quality issues in Body, Paint, or General Assembly.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and control plans.
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SPC tools, and quality reporting systems (e.g. QMS, MES).

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate quality issues and perform detailed root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, or 8D tools.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics (defect rates, FPY, scrap) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEA, and quality inspection standards.
  • Support audits and compliance with IATF, ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and production teams to resolve incoming or in-process quality concerns.
  • Train shop floor teams on quality standards, defect detection, and escalation procedures.
  • Ensure documentation and traceability of all quality-related issues and resolutions.
